Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account details — your email address and display name, from sign-up or from Google if you use Google sign-in.
• Content you create — your events, floor plans, and the guest details you enter (names, RSVP status, dietary notes, tags, seating notes, and gift log entries).
• Billing information — handled by our payments provider, Stripe. We store your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference; we never see or store full card numbers.
• Usage — a monthly count of AI generations, to enforce plan limits.
• Site analytics — anonymous page-view statistics (which pages are visited, the referring site, and general device, browser, and country information). These use no cookies and are not linked to your account.
• Essential cookies — a sign-in session cookie so you stay logged in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use your information

• To provide and operate the app — saving your events and syncing them across your devices.
• To run the AI features you invoke (seating suggestions, floor-plan parsing, theme design).
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To provide support and respond to your requests.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the app is used so we can improve it.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

Service providers we share data with

We share data only with the providers needed to run the service, each acting on our behalf:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting of your account and event data.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
• Anthropic — processes the content you submit to an AI feature (for example, your guest and table data when you request a seating suggestion) to generate a response.
• Vercel — application hosting and delivery, and anonymous site analytics.
• Cloudflare — domain and email routing for our support addresses.
• Resend — delivery of transactional emails, such as account-confirmation messages.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account; deletion removes your profile, the events you own, and your usage records, and cancels any active subscription. You can also export a full backup of your events from Settings before deleting. To request deletion by email, contact hello@seatedbytini.com.

Security

We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards: data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is limited to those who need it, and authentication is handled by our infrastructure providers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security — but we work to protect your data and to address any issues promptly.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can exercise most of these directly in the app — export a full backup or delete your account and its data from Settings — or by emailing us, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Your U.S. state privacy rights

Some U.S. states give residents specific rights over their personal information — including the rights to know or access what we collect, to correct or delete it, to obtain a portable copy, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We extend these choices to all of our users, regardless of state. You can exercise them in Settings (export and delete) or by emailing us; we may need to verify your identity first. Because we do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising, there is no opt-out of sale or sharing to request.

Where your data is processed

We are based in the United States and operate the Service for users in the United States; we do not actively offer it to users elsewhere. Your information is stored and processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country, and you consent to that processing.

Guests and other people's data

When you add guests to an event, the only information we hold about them is what you choose to enter — typically just their name, and optionally any tags or affiliations, RSVP status, dietary preferences, seating notes, or gift-log entries you add. We do not collect any contact information about your guests — no email address, phone number, or mailing address — and we do not collect IP addresses, location, or any device or tracking data about them. Guests are never contacted through the Service and receive no notifications or communications from us; by design, there is no way to message a guest through the platform.

Guest data is visible only to you and to collaborators you explicitly invite to your event. Public “find your seat” QR pages show only a guest’s name, table, and tablemates — never dietary notes, tags, or any other detail. You provide guest information on your own behalf and remain responsible for having a proper basis to do so.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
